Renovation Efforts

A new icehouse, renovated clubroom (moving to the main ice level from the basement), an updated kitchen and bar area encompass our club renovation efforts, adding up to a total of $1.5M. While the total is substantial, this is a once in a lifetime effort to secure our club’s legacy for decades to come.

Along with these major renovations come major opportunity from our curling members, current, past, and future. We’re looking to secure naming rights to the following critical areas that will contribute significantly to our fundraising goal.

Ice House

Ice conditions matter. A lot. Our building, environmental controls (humidity is our enemy), compressor, the perfect pebble, all factor in to creating the best more consistent ice for our curling community.

Renovation efforts will completely rehaul our icehouse and deliver the best ice in club curling, worthy of our club’s size, place in history and knack for hospitality.

The Icehouse naming rights are considering one of the most prestigious opportunities to have your name live on in Wauwatosa Curling Club history. This once in a lifetime opportunity allows you to secure your name inside the icehouse.

Ice Sheets

Our improved icehouse will naturally deliver improved ice and better game play (what will curlers blame poor play on when the ice is fixed!?). Four sheets of tournament quality ice will improve the curling experience for all who curl at the club.

Naming rights to each individual sheet of ice is available. No longer sheets 1, 2, 3 or 4, we’ll provide names to each sheet for recognition.

Clubroom (Firefly Room)

The second big aspect of the renovation project will be the complete overhaul of the Firefly Room to function as our primary club space at ice level.

Naming rights to the Clubroom, where curlers gather to broomstack and watch fellow curlers on the ice.

Kitchen & Bar Area

This curling club takes good food and drinks seriously. Every event and bonspiel we deliver is 100% volunteer run, with food primarily made in-house at the club. A fully renovated and updated kitchen and bar area will allow us to continue delivering exceptional food to everyone who visits the club.
